I don't know if my recent post got pulled or if it didn't get submitted properly. Trying again because having a well-rounded discussion on potential nuclear wars is important. I hope nobody pulled it. That would be a frightening state of affairs. Here's my second attempt to be heard.
To be against war is not to be for Putin.
We had multiple opportunities to avoid this conflict, and many interactions that encouraged this. In 2018, Congress banned support for Ukraine's Neo-Nazi battalion, now we're funding them: https://khanna.house.gov/media/in-the-news/congress-bans-arms-ukraine-militia-linked-neo-nazis
It's insane to me that supposed liberals are marching us into war that is and was completely avoidable. If Boris Johnson actually stopped the peace negotiations to draw out the war, and the eventuality is nuclear war, the Democratic party or any other supporter blindly marching us to disaster should be held accountable.
If you do just a tiny bit of research, you will see that this is not Putin being a rogue madman, but a series of foreseeable events that could EASILY have been avoided. By not scratching the surface, you are fulfilling their need for more propaganda, and supporting this disaster.
Consider this: in 2019, Rand, a military think tank, produced a report on how to overextend Russia by putting Western military in Ukraine. Do you think that's a good idea? Do you support antagonizing a nuclear power? Is that how we achieve peace? Of course, now they say that people who question this practice are Russian propagandists, and that's how you shut people up.
